READY SET DANCE is a one hour combo class of JAZZ, TAP, HIP HOP, SINGING and MUSIC and a whole lot of fun!
At EPIC Studios, our program caters for two levels:
LEVEL 1 (born in 2019 & 2020)
This fun filled class is for our "Tiny" aged dancers and is jam packed with:
JAZZ – Develop muscle strength, control and balance and achieve coordination milestones like skipping before going to school.
HIP HOP – Bust out some ice cold moves just like Freeze to our original hip hop tracks.
MUSIC – Develop the musical ear, dynamics and tempo while having fun with instruments and the parachute.
SINGING – Sing like Twirl and build confidence singing on the microphone
TAP – Learn the fundamentals of tap in a playful and creative way splashing in puddles and shuffling like a penguin.
All these ingredients together create a super hour of fun!
LEVEL 2 (born in 2017 & 2018)
Ready Set Dance Level 2 is a wonderful starting point for Mini Dancers and also provides a great transition for students who have previously participated in Level 1 to move into more formal training in the following years.
Our students have fun dancing to all of their favourite RSD Level 2 tracks while introducing some advanced technique exercises at the barre, in the centre and across the floor!
Just like level 1, RSD Level 2 includes Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Music & Singing. Our mini dancers leave RSD Level 2 as confident little people with strong technical foundations ready for their transition into the "Petite" age group!
READY SET BALLET is a 30 minute magical ballet experience! Twirl our mascot will lead our little dancers through each step of the class as they learn the fundamentals of ballet.
MUSIC – Engage in specifically designed music that captures the beauty of classical ballet.
CURRICULUM – Develop coordination, body awareness, strength and flexibility both through visual and auditory instruction.
MIME – Explore creativity and gain confidence by going on a picnic with FREEZE and TWIRL, riding the tutu train to storybook lane and so much more.
THEMED DANCES – Learn the beautifully themed dances that have music prompts to support preschooler’s playful participation.
PROPS – Have fun twirling with rainbow ribbons, swaying with feathers and popping bubbles. These resources support tactile awareness and strengthen fine motor coordination and control.

Just like READY SET DANCE our READY SET BALLET classes cater for two levels:

Both levels 1 & 2 have a strong focus on confidence, coordination & creativity, with our level 2 class introducing some advanced technique exercises to ensure our Mini Dancers develop a strong technical basis in the early years of their dance training.

CAN WE WATCH THE CLASSES?
In our experience preschoolers are able to concentrate better without the distraction of other noise in the room from parents and other siblings. Our program has been endorsed by leading child care experts who support the independent learning model. As preschoolers participate in classes they have the opportunity to develop additional secure attachments with adults (teachers) and peers. This helps them transition positively into the larger world and helps with school readiness.
While we don't allow parents in the classroom, our RSD Studio boasts a clear panelled wall which allows parents to see into the room from the waiting area. Other classes may be held in our second RSD studio, which is visible on the TV screen in the waiting room. We ask that all parents of Level 1 students stay close by in the waiting area provided for reassurance and assistance with toileting during class time.

WHERE CAN I GET PHOTOS AND VIDEOS OF MY LITTLE DANCER?
Be sure to download our ESA Smartphone App! In this app you will find links to lots of photos & videos from each class. Upon enrolment our team will send you further information and a link to join our app!
DO THEY PERFORM?
At the end of the year we invite all of our RSD students to perform in our Preschool Concert, which is held in the theatre at the Yeppon Town Hall and showcases some of our favourite routines for our friends and family!
WHAT HAPPENS IF WE MISS A CLASS?
We have a number of RSD classes on our timetable and during Terms 1, 2 and 3 if you miss a class you are more than welcome to choose an alternate time to attend a makeup lesson providing that space is available in another class. In term 4, each class works on a different routine for the end-of-year concert, and it is too confusing for students to be swapping days. We do recommend that you avoid alternating days too much as preschoolers need the comfort of knowing that the same teacher and their friends will be there when they go to dancing.
As many of our classes have a waiting list, there are no refunds or credits for classes not attended in term 4 or should you not be able to attend an alternate class as a makeup lesson in terms 1-3.
WHAT DO THEY WEAR?
Students must wear the READY SET DANCE uniform which is available for purchase at the studio. However, we need to make sure we are the right fit for you and your child before committing to anything. Comfortable clothes and sneakers are fine for the first couple of lessons. Once your child has settled you can purchase the official READY SET DANCE uniform at reception, which we are sure you will love.

ARE YOUR TEACHERS QUALIFIED?
All teachers have their Working with Children Check and follow the program that is endorsed by early learning experts. READY SET DANCE teachers and all student assistants are required to gain their accreditation from READY SET DANCE head office before delivering the program.
WHAT HAPPENS IF WE DON'T WANT TO CONTINUE IN OUR CLASS?
At ESA class enrolment is for the full duration of the term. Should you no longer wish to continue, the current term will still be payable in full.
If you are unsure, we suggest grabbing a Trial pass and trialling the classes you may be interested in prior to enrolling.
HOW CAN WE EXPERIENCE READY SET DANCE AT HOME?
READY SET DANCE airs every day on Nick Jr at 10am. You can also catch us on 10 Peach, YouTube and the Nick Jr Play App. The Show has been so popular that it is now airing in 120 countries all over the world. Preschoolers love to dance along to their favourite songs from the TV show in their classes every week.
DO WE HAVE TO PAY FOR THE WHOLE TERM IN ADVANCE?
All preschool classes require upfront term payment to secure your spot.

At ESA there is an enrolment fee of $44 per student per calendar year. Your enrolment fee must be paid at the time of enrolment.
