ESA Company - Performance Teams

The following classes will run in terms 1, 2, & 3 only.

ESA Company Weekly Rehearsal Blocks

ESA Performance teams will rehearse weekly on Tuesdays in terms 1,2 & 3, and in weeks 1-2 of term 4 only.

Performance Team rehearsals cease for the year at the conclusion Evolution Competition (end week 2 term 4) and will recommence in Term 1 2026 for the next competition season.

2025 ESA Performance Teams:

SHOOTING STARS - Age: 5yrs - 6yrs on 1 January 2025

RISING STARS - Age: 7yrs - 8yrs on 1 January 2025

DYNAMITE - Age 9yrs - 10yrs on 1 January 2025

REVOLUTION - Age 11yrs - 12yrs on 1 January 2025

EMPIRE - Age 13ys+ on 1 January 2025

Examinations

Examinations are optional and are available for both Company and Recreational dancers. Examinations are an extension of a dancers regular training and students who wish to participate in exams attend the below classes in addition to their weekly training schedule.

RAD Classical Ballet

RAD Ballet Examination Students attend the below classes for the full duration of terms 1 & 2, and in the first few weeks of term 3 until the date of their examination in August. Exam classes will cease for the year upon completion of the exam and recommence in Term 1 2026 for the next examination round.

The prerequisites for classical examinations are as follows:

Students must be attending 2 ballet classes per week in addition to their exam class
Students must be attending PBT class (ages petite & over)
Intermediate Foundation & above must be attending pointe class
Students should attend all classical development extension classes - 2 scheduled per term (ages petite & over)

Additional important dates for classical exam students are as follows:

Friday 31 Jan & Saturday 1 Feb - RAD Exam Intensive

Fri 25 April & Sat 26 April - RAD Exam Intensive

Wed 9 July - Sat 12 July - RAD Exam Intensive (examiners workshop)

Early August date TBC upon confirmation of examination date Sat & Sun RAD Examination Full Dress Rehearsal

Examination Date will fall in August 2025.

ADA Jazz & Tap

ADA Jazz & Tap exam students attend the below exam classes for the full duration of term 2 & 3 and during term 4 up until the date of the examination.

Jazz and tap exam classes do not run in term 1 and cease for the year upon completion of the exam day.

THURSDAY

Jazz and Tap exam classes will be scheduled on Thursdays and will commence in term 2. Class times will be finalised by Friday 4 April 2025. The schedule will be set to accomodate grades required based on student participation requests and will coincide with classical examination classes held on the same day.
